Ballistics Software

Any shooter serious about long range shooting should acquire a software program for exterior ballistics. The following list briefly discusses some of the programs available. This is not intended to be a recommendation for any of them. Each has its own qualities. Review each one, ask questions and decide which would work best for your application.

Sierra Infinity
This is the software used to develop the long Range Shooting Simulation. Includes reloading data, printable charts and is easy to use. Version 6 has recently been released. www.sierrabullets.com

QuickLOAD/QuickTARGET

A sophisticated program which allows for input and experimentation with different loads. You can select the bullet, powder, predict velocity and pressure, then analyze the trajectory QuickLOAD is the most complete and flexible interior prediction software available to the handloader.

QuickTARGET is the exterior ballistics part of the software which calculates trajectories, wind deflection, multiple BC's, sight correction, energies and velocities down range using information from QuickLoad.
